If you are going to medical school, probably. Same thing with law school. If you are going into the humanities, that may be another story. I am paying back student loans right now and I did the latter (graduate school in humanities).

that’s quite a lot, depending what school you went to and what you went for is depending on if it is worth it. I paid about 3,000 a semester thats including books but that was only for 2 years. Because my junior college was a lot cheaper than that
Are you going to be a doctor or lawyer or be in a career that you will make good money? Otherwise I would say no, you are going to be very surprised what your monthly SL payment is once you do finish and don’t have the career to financially back up that payment. For example I have a friend who has 60k in loans in her name and she has to pay almost $ 400 a month in SL!!!!!
We live in a culture that has come to accept debt accumulation as normal. Debt is not normal. We aren’t born with debt and there are very few reasons why we should ever go into debt.
Remember to look for value in an education, not just price, but the value you are receiving. If you’ve already made your choice do your best to pay off the debt as quickly as possible.
jbrent, but his debt is to go to school, not to run up a credit card, so this is understandable debt. I will have about 70,000 dollars worth when I get done, but I also have BS, BA,MBA and enough hours to able to sit for my CPA exam, so for me it is worth it. If your major is something that is not going to make any money, I would say 100 grand is not worth it.
im planning on doing that to.im going 2 major in nursing.u can pay it back, just gonna take a while.
